Great place to come for Southern breakfast food. There is seating inside and outside, and the service was stellar. I enjoyed my fried chicken and waffle and latte. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because there are a few other places where the chicken is a little bit better. I highly recommend this place for a tasty and relaxing brunch. Parking took a few minutes, but it wasn't that bad.

Great spot for some tasty Southern food. The menu is full of great choices and a full cocktail menu to match. We shared their honey mustard wings, cornbread, and fried pickles to start and enjoyed all of them. The wings were perfectly seasoned and the fried pickles had the outside batter consistency of what you would expect from a fried oreo...so so good. The cornbread was my favorite but everyone else raved about it and the rosemary butter. The meals were the star of the show. The shrimp and grits were the hit of the evening but the porkchop wasn't far behind. We ended the night with a variety of desserts and a nice port. The bartender/waiter and what we assumed was also the owner was so attentive and engaging. He wore a 100 hats throughout the evening but still found time to ensure we were attended to at all times. They also have a sister bar (Rock Bar) across the street so drop in there too for a pre or after dinner drink. They were also so friendly.

Came here with a Groupon deal. Food is tasty, portions a bit small, great service. Really cute sitting outside on a nice day.

Juicy fried chicken. My husband and I love coming to the Front Porch whenever we're in the city. The food is warm and filling, but the chicken is the highlight of the show. It's not greasy but it incredibly juicy on the inside. Our regular order is the 4 piece chicken meal to share, we are not a fan of the collards so we do double mash, an order of the mac and cheese, and the cornbread muffin bites. Their cocktails are unique and delicious as well. Service and food is always great, however some downsides are inconsistencies in the food and the restroom. I notice the mac and cheese is always different, sometimes the pasta is bland, sometimes there's not enough cheese or it's too wet, this time it wasn't baked long enough and didn't form a light crust on top. The single restroom at the back of the restaurant(next to a table), is often stinky and does not look like it's maintained throughout the day. This last time we dined in we got there at 6pm, 30 minutes after opening and the wastebasket was full and the whole room smelt of urine.

I HIGHLY recommend this place!! I've eaten here several times over the last 10 yrs and it's consistently delicious. The ambience is perfect. It's dark, sexy, but somehow still a tad kitschy. The place definitely has inexplicable charm. My favorite dishes are the fried okra(fried to perfection), the fried green tomatoes, the bucket of chicken (MUST TRY), shrimp and grits (DELICIOUS) & Mac & cheese(FIRE). I've had the majority of the menu over the years and don't think you can go wrong with any of it. On top of amazing food, the cocktail program is equally as strong. My favorite being the porch swing, a whiskey based cocktail, so tasty and well balanced. Shout out to our sweet server Ivy & chef Jack in the kitchen for making our stop in so memorable! You haven't seen the last of us! We'll definitely be back. Thank you for taking such good care of our silly group.

This was always my go to spot for breakfast. It felt very intimate and cozy with that true southern vibe. I would normally they shrimp and grits dish, which was always my favorite because of the gravy sauce they add to it. My go to drink was the Bloody Mary. Probably some of the best Bloody Mary I've had. Service was always good, wait was never too long even when we didn't have reservations.

You can't go wrong with their chicken and waffles! Crunchy, tasty and filling. Great service and love the ambience. Fits snug as a neighborhood favorite.

We came here for our early Valentine's Day dinner. I definitely recommend making reservations prior since they do get really busy. We had our reservation but we ended up waiting awhile since it was a busy night. The host felt really bad for us waiting and he gave us free champagne and fried okra while we wait. Big southern hospitality was really appreciated! The fried okra was crispy and flavorful. It came with a delicious jalapeño aioli. We ordered the sweet tea pork chops and the special crawfish etoufee. They were all delicious! The etoufee had the right amount of kick while the pork chops had a small sweetness with a nice Smokey flavor in the rice and beans. We would love to come back here again!
